In December 2012 the Queensland Mines Inspectorate, after consideration of the IARC 2012 classification of diesel engine exhaust, issued a Safety Bulletin recommending adoption of the MDG29 limit of 0.1 mg/m3 (measured as submicron EC), shift adjusted (Qld Department of Natural Resources and Mines, 2012).
